You can even hop on the trail from Salford Central if that's more convenient. The route's a good 'un, clocking in at a decent distance, and handily, you'll find a few shops around the halfway mark to stock up on snacks and water – essential for keeping your energy levels up. You'll be treated to a right mix of scenery as you meander through several parks. You'll pass through Peel Park, a green oasis right near the city centre, before finding yourself in Drinkwater Park, a revitalised green space near the river. Later you'll hit Prestwich Forest Park, a wilder, more natural landscape with woodland trails to explore. And the beauty of it is, there are a fair few other parks dotted about nearby, so if you're feeling particularly energetic, you can easily extend your run, hike, or leisurely stroll. Remember to wear appropriate footwear as the terrain can vary, and check the weather forecast before you set off. Enjoy!
